The year has slipped by without adding to our Blog. Kaycee is already 2 1/2. She is back into the routine of using the potty, now that we are home for a little while. She wanted to use the potty at 18 months but with all of the traveling she lost interest. She knows how, she just preffered diapers and would ask for them. Now with the break over and a baby on the way mom said no to diapers and being lazy, and Kaycee picked out new panties. She has done great!!!
She is very excited to have a sibling on the way. She says it is going to be a boy; we find out tomorrow, hopefully! Kaycee was very shy with the ultrasound, we hope this one is not as shy. We are excited to find out. I like to plan ahead. Surprises are good but planning helps me stay calm.
Kaycee was able to hear the baby's heart beat on Friday and was very excited. Now she realizes that there really is a baby in mommy's belly. She has to tell everyone she meets.
School is back in session and Isaac and I are very busy. With our busy schedules we find plenty of time to play with Kaycee. She is so much fun! She is doing very well with her ABC's (which she calls her EFG's) and counting. I have to help her start with 1 or she can't do it for some reason. She starts with 2, 5 then goes 7, 8, 9, 10. Once I start her with 1 she gets it straight.
I will keep everyone updated on the news tomorrow!!!

New Years 2008

Happy New Year!
We have had such a fun break this year. We had a great Christmas and then we were able to spend New Years in Elk Ridge with my family. Brandon, Katy, and the kids (Alexis, Domenic, and Skyler), and Amy and Brandon stayed a few days with all of us too. It was a blast. We opened more gifts, partied and were VERY tired. It was a fun time.
Kaycee had such a good time with her cousins. She doesn't get to see them that much so when they are together they make messes, get crazy and make up for lost time.
Domenic said the funnies thing to me the other day...."Kaycee is sometimes bad." I laughed and said "yeah, you all are sometimes why?" He then told me how she pushed him, which she got in trouble for. Anyway, I told him that she may look his age but she is only two and he needs to tell her not to push and that it is bad. He just looked at me and said "yeah" and walked away. I guess you had to be there. I thought it was hillarious. I think it is hard for the little ones to understand that there is a 2 year age difference. Kaycee thinks Domenic should act like her, age 2 1/2 and he thinks she should act like him, 4 1/2. She is just a big kid. I think there is barely, if that an inch difference in their height.

Christmas 2007

Now that I've kind of figured this out I have gone back through and updated with news and pictures.
We went to Utah this winter break and had a blast. We spent the first week in Castle Dale with Isaac's family and had Christmas with them. Kaycee thought it was so fun to leave Santa a treat. She picked a cookie, milk, AND a sucker! What a treat. The next morning she laughed and laughed that Santa ate the treat she left him. To this day she is still talking about it.
Christmas morning was such a blast to watch her go crazy openings gifts. They say that the first year is a memorable one but I think that the third time in the charm. This age is so much fun! Well, I guess I can't really judge it because her second Christmas she had fun but she was very ill, RSV. I loved that she liked Santa this year though.

Family Picture 2007

While we got pictures of Kaycee in her Halloween costumes we were able to get a family picture before our new addition in May.
These were the best two. I only like the second one because of Kaycee's expression. She was so funny.
