Valentines' Fun!

This morning Kaycee woke up to tons of presents from Dad. She was so excited to get more chocolate....then she saw a Scooby Doo dvd and was really excited. Yesterday I bought her some gold pearl earings for Valentines while we waited to go to the doctors. She couldn't wait and had to put them in her ears before we went into to hear "her baby's" heart beat. She was so funny. Our doctor let her use the machine to listen to the heart beat and Kaycee was disgusted she wanted Jamie, our doctor to do it. Then she sat back and squeeled with delight as she heard his heart beat. Today Jena came over and played. We made cookies, painted butterfly banks and made necklaces. They had a blast, especially making the cookies and eating them.

My Valentine!

Kaycee was so excited to get mail today, and not just any mail....a PACKAGE from Grandma and Grandpa Bott and Jo!!! She loves to help get the mail and this time she had something as well. Of course everything that was in it was for Kaycee. She did realize after having to open her big girl panties first and then her chocolate that her baby brother and mom and dad got something too. After opening her panties she had to run in and try on her new outfit. She was ecstatic to find out that her snow boots were the perfect match. I'm sure she'll try to wear them out of the house together. She added to the outfit by putting the ribbon in her hair and on her wrist like a bracelet, if you didn't already notice. Thanks Grandpa, Grandma and Jo!

Hide-and-Seek

I was playing the piano this morning with Kaycee and the next thing I know she runs off to play...and disappeared. She threw most of her stuffed animals out of the basket and hid inside. She thought she was pretty funny...and so did I. She likes to hide. Sometimes it is scary because she hides really well and without our knowledge she will just be gone. We'll call her name and get frantic after searching everywhere, even the closets, because she can open the front door. She won't answer and then we really search the closets. She has usually climbed to the back of the closets and hid behind shoes or boxes. I like it when it is a little more obvious like her toy basket!

Circle Booboo

So, we were all sick on Sunday but I went to Relief Soceity and left Kaycee with Isaac. She wanted to go to church but she had a bad cough and runny nose. I should have taken her. It all started when Isaac had an EMPTY Dust-Off can and was spraying her stomach on Saturday morning. She thought it was funny and kept asking him to do it again. Let me remind you that it was empty.

Saturday afternoon we went to Costco, and he bought more spray. On Sunday he was letting Kaycee help him spray off the computer keyboard and she asked him to spray her and what do you think he did....Yep! He did it and called frantic and called the hospital. I didn't get the call, I was in church. So he had to take care of it all by himself. She was in a lot of pain. I felt really bad for both of them. When I got home she had to tell me all about her "cricle booboo." She still has marks from it.

After calling the hospital and searching the the Dust-Off website for some advice he found that it really isn't than uncommon. I guess a lot of people spray each other or themselves with it not thinking that it is compressed air and can cause frost bite! For those of you who read this post...it isn't so fun. It has been a couple days now and she still has markings from it. I'm sure you'll hear all about it from Kaycee so I thought I would show you what her "circle booboo" looks like after a couple of days. It looks a lot better, but not so good.
