Look who is seven

Its finally here. We've been planning her birthday party for weeks, since we were planning Kaydens in May and I still felt so unprepared. She wanted a "Picture Perfect Party." I made a camera cake and we had a photo booth (frame) with props. I printed the pictures and they decorated them at the end. We had a dress up runway race and made hair clips. They had a blast and Kaycee loved every minute of it. I'm glad it went well, she had fun and it's over!!!

Kaycee did awesome at her SEPs again. It is cute how they have it set up so the kids can show off how smart they are and what they have been learning. We had to miss her scheduled one on Thursday because of grandmas passing but it worked out good because Isaac had the day off and wad able to go too.

Fairytale Day at Kindergarten

Kaycee chose to be Little Red Riding Hood for their Fairytale Day in Kindergarten. After each big unit they do a fun activity day. Last time when they did Nursery Rhymes Kaycee and Mrs. Haymore both happened to dress like Mary Had a Little Lamb and now they were both Little Red. Kaycee was pretty excited. She LOVES her teacher.

Kindy 500

Kaycee's Kindergarten does a lot of fun and educational activities. This month they did the Kindy 500 to help make their government unit more fun. They each made cars to wear while driving around the United States. Kaycee got North Carolina! While picking Isaac up at Banfield the other day to take to the airport Nick saw the cute Frisbees and then came about her car. She was so excited. We procrastinated until the final week (Thursday) but it turned out pretty well.

Different rooms around the school had different places and themes. They went to New York where they talked about the Statue of Liberty (Lady of Liberty crown), North Dakota to see Mount Rushmore (postcards), learned about the flag (flag bracelet), and the Liberty Bell (bell). They even got their own Driver's License and key with Kindy 500 key chain.

Funny Moments with Kaycee

This time I am writing down Kaycee's comments to her dad. I always say, "Oh, I'll remember tomorrow" and then I forget. This time my brother reminded me of what she said the other day. Thanks Brandon. I had to go ask Isaac about the other ones. She says so many it is hard to keep track. They are usually to her dad so he remembers them pretty vividly. When she was somewhere between 6 months and 9 months old when she first started rolling her eyes at her dad. We knew we were in trouble then.

So, the other day Kaycee was riding with Isaac and said, "dad, are you speeding?" Isaac said, "ya, a little bit. I'll slow down." Then without a beat she said, "well, I hope you like dirty toilets and yucky food." He laughed so hard he had to pull the truck over.

Another time we met my dad at his hotel when he came to Salt Lake and went swimming. Kaycee was sitting in the hot tub with Papa and Isaac walked over from the pool to get in. Kaycee said, "nice pink toenails dad." Isaac replied, "shut up Kaycee, it is your fault." She replied with, "no, you shut up Mr. Boobie Man." With Kaycee when she speaks she has attitude with it!

She does not skip a beat with her little comments to her dad. I don't know where she gets it.

Another hilarious moment, with her dad again. He was watching them because I had gone somewhere and she was using the master bathroom. She had the door open so she could "conversate" with her dad. Crazy chick! They were talking and all of the sudden she said, "oh man, I think I pooped my bones out."

Long Time New Update

Wow, I can't believe how crazy life has been. The kids are growing up fast and a ton has happened.

Kaycee LOVES school. She goes to four sessions of preschool, five days a week. I drop her off at 9am on my way to work and she gets done at 3pm and they take her across the street to join Kayden at daycare. She's not too keen on daycare, she says that it is "too boring." She was doing awesome until she missed a week from her seizure. Then it was rough getting her going again but she is doing better. She still isn't quite herself and has those not feeling well days but luckily Nana and Aunt Sara have been around to help with all of that while I am at work.

She is so excited to start going to school at mom's work. She'll go with me three days a week and then to I Can Do It Myself Preschool in Payson twice a week.

Kaycee slowed down growing for a few months and in the blink of an eye grew three inches in just a day it seemed. Her pants that were too long for her for the longest time are now too short. She is growing up way too fast.

First Snow

Kaycee has been waiting for it to snow all year. She can't wait to go out side and play in the snow and make a snowman. She says this everyday. This morning I saw that it had snowed and just waited for her response. She came running into my room screaming, "mommy come look, hurry, hurry." So I followed her into her bedroom and she lifted up her curtains and squeeled "its snowing" and ran and started getting dressed, snow boots and all. As soon as Isaac walked in the door she grabbed his hand and drug him outside.

Sweet Little Prayers

Kaycee just learned how prayers work. We rented some movies from Redbox the other day. Before taking them back yesterday I let her watch Up one more time while we were working on the house and patio. She decided to watch her SpongeBob movie again too. Somehow the third movie got lost. They were in her care and now one is gone. I looked in every crack, under every cushion, everywhere trying to think, "if Kayden got ahold of it where would he put it?" I had an empty case with no movie. I wasn't going to pay another rental fee again tonight OR have to pay for a missing movie. I told Kaycee that she had better say a prayer that we find that movie because she was in BIG trouble. I kept looking and went to check on her. She was huntched over on her bed saying a prayer. I left her, walked down stairs, looking in the same places I had looked earlier. Low-and-behold there it was. I called her to me and talked about her prayer. She was so happy that Heavenly Father heard her prayer. It was so sweet that her presious little prayer was answered that quickly. So we sat on the stairs and said another prayer of thanks. She was pretty excited about it. I love special moments like this that not only teach my sweet little girl but me as well as to how precious our little ones really are!!!

Miley Cyrus in SLC!

Kaycee's first concert!
We took Kaycee on a daddy/mommy date. We kept the concert a surprise until we got to the arena. Everyday she has talked about Hannah Montana coming to Utah and how she wanted to go to the concert, so when we told her I expected squealing or something. She was like, "oh." That was it? I think she was in shock because when we got inside and it started she started to cry with tears coming down her face, "i want to see Hannah Montana." She couldn't see that it was Miley singing. After a song or two she realized who it was and got really excited for it. It was fun to go to a concert with her. I guess Isaac did good. I was pretty upset at first when he bought them. I felt better about it after I heard Kaycee get excited about it when her cousin Alexis told her Miley was coming to town, but I was still annoyed, but it was actually really fun to see Kaycee excited and Miley put on a pretty entertaining show. And we had AWESOME seats, 10th row, on the floor! When we got to the Energy Solutions Stadium the first thing we saw was 16 semi-trucks and 4-6 tour buses parked at the side. CrAzY! They really knew how to put on a show, however, there were so many young girls, moms, aunts, even boys and men talking about how she is such a great role model and how they LOVED her. Even though it was fun no one, especially Miley, will be a role model for our little girl. That will NOT happen in our home. She is entertaining and fun to listen to and watch but she or any other celeb will never be a role model and we will never encourage it.

The opening band was Metro Station, Miley's brother Trace and Mitchel Musso's brother Steven (I think were there names). Trace is tattoo city. Not what you expect. Miley was not an innocent little tike herself. I do have to say they were both entertaining. Miley was sick and in the middle of the second song, Ten Things I Hate About You, she ran off stage and her backup singers finished it. About 10 minutes later she came back out and gave a good show. During her last song though she threw up on stage, discreetly. Poor thing.

London Bridges Falling Down

Kaycee likes to climb on my the recliner and chairs in the bedroom. She jumps from one to the other. A couple of times she has fallen and the chair has fallen on her. She has luckily never got hurt. Then the other day she dropped the channel changer and dove for it falling face first into the recliner handle. Grandma thought she poked her eye out and grabbed her running downstairs to find us, as she got to the stairs her foot slipped and they went tumbling down the stairs. The lucky little thing missed her eye but bruised her brow. Isaac told her that she was going to get a black eye and she came screaming into me, "I don't want my eye to turn purple." What a dramatizing experience. The picture doesn't look as bad as it was.

Fun with Hayden in Castle Dale

Kaycee was so excited to spend the weekend at Grandma and Grandpa Bott's house. Not only was she going to be in Castle Dale but Hayden was going to be there. The first thing they did was run to their special boxes full of goodies grandma has for them and ran outside to play. They loved the pool and having water fights. It is fun to see them together. They are two days apart and each time we see them they change places in the height race. One month Kaycee is taller and the next Hayden catches up. He actually beat her this time, he is a 1/2 inch taller than Kaycee. However, he will always have her beat in the shoe department thank goodness. Kaycee is in a 10.5 and Hayden is in a 1 already.
