Fishin' in the Rain

Isaac has been on call all week and weekend so we decided to stay close to home and go fishing at Spanish Fork Reservoir and it RAINED! It was a little windy while we had our picnic with Caleb and Char and sprinkled while we got set up and started fishing but then it came down hard. Caleb caught the first one and let Kaycee rill it in, and as they were getting it to shore Isaac was rilling in one so Kaycee ran over to help. Kayden and I sat and fished with the other pole and as we were getting ready to leave because we were getting drenched we had one playing. I handed it off to Isaac and low and behold there was a fish hooked. Over all it was fun, we were all drenched but we caught fish and had a good time. This is Kaycee with hers and Kayden's fish.

Happy Birthday Kaycee Bug!

My little girl is 4 today. It is crazy how four years has flown by so quickly.

Our little princess, sweet baby girl, and delight,
When you entered this world you put up a fight!
Our tiny sweet little baby and our very first.
You were born very sick and we feared for the worst.
From the very beginning you were strong and overcame;
Now look at our big helper, with the memorable name.
Through the years you have brightened each of our days,
Through laughter and kindness, in many different ways.
You are a bright little girl whom we adore.
Our sweet little Kaycee Bug is now turning four.

Kaycee we love every day with you and are so happy that you are ours to have and to hold. You are such a bright little girl, a great helper and a wonderful big sister. You are also a little smarty pants who makes us laugh every day. We love you and hope that you have had a wonderful birthday. Happy birthday sweet baby girl.

Chuck E. Cheese surprise party

A while ago my mom was driving with us from Washington to Utah, it was late as we drove into Utah, and all of the sudden Kaycee began screaming something that we couldn't understand. As we listened and had her repeat it we tried very hard to understand what she was saying, "Chunky Jesus!" We couldn't figure out what in the world she was trying say. My mom looked over and saw a sign for Chuck E. Cheese. She was saying she wanted to go to "Chuck E. Cheese's." So, after a very long time of her asking to go to "Chunky Jesus" we threw her a surprise party at the one in Orem.

We told her we were going to her cousin Hayden's house, then as we pulled into the parking lot we asked her if she wanted to go shopping. She said, "no, we need to go to my party at Hayden's house." Isaac then asked if she wanted to go into this store and pointed to the sign. She looked up in annoyance, her eyes got big and she shyly smiled and said very loud, "yeah, yeah!" She was so excited and had a wonderful night. Between Kaycee and Isaac (mostly Isaac) they won enough tickets (1200) to win a Chuck E. Cheese basketball. It was the highlight of the evening. She was so happy to share her special night with all of her cousins, aunts and uncles. (Cousins: Alexis, Domenic, Skyler, Hayden, and Brayden. Aunts and Uncles: Brandon, Amy and Brandon, Marie and Dan Seth, and Sara and Nana).

Eating Rocks?

We went to Spring Lake with Sam and McCall yesterday. It was nice to get outside and have some fun. It was a nice day, not too hot. Kaycee had a blast. Isaac took her fishing, they didn't catch anything but she had her fun of throwing out the line and bringing it back in. Sam and McCall made dutch oven chicken and potato's (which was really good). While it was cooking Kaycee asked Sam, "Tam why are you cooking rocks?" It was so funny. Things we don't think of as adults.

Oh, did I mention she fell in the fire. She was moving her camp chair talking to someone (I can't even remember who it was) but she was walking backwards. I went to tell her to watch where she was going when she hit the rim of the pit and fell in. Luckily McCall was walking by at the same time and grabbed her and thankfully it was dutch oven and it wasn't an actual fire just REALLY HOT coals. Kaycee has a few blisters on her thigh and tush and a burn mark on her forearm from trying to pull herself out. McCall thought quick and pulled off her pants to stop the burn, thank goodness or it could have been a lot worse. My clumsy daughter; like mother like daughter though.
