Big Sister!
Kaycee is such a great big sister. She is always concerned about her baby brother, if he is happy, sad, grumpy, she always wants to make him feel good. There have been a couple of times I have left him sleeping in his bouncer in the living room while I went to do something. Then I remember that I left him in there and Kaycee is in the living room. When I go running in with fear I see her sitting next to him, keeping her distance, rubbing his hair and reading books, singing, or watching television with him. Then she turns to me and says, "baby was sad so I...whatever she did...with him and now he is happy." It is too cute. She tells me that babies, poop, eat milk, cry, sleep, don't talk, and poop. What a wise little girl.
Today after I fed him he was a little squirmy but Kaycee wanted to hold him. I placed him in her arms and he stopped wiggling and stared at her for the longest time and went to sleep with a this angelic look on his face. He LOVES his big sister. It was the sweetest thing. I thought "oh, a coincidence." I took him to put him in his bed and she cried because she wanted to still hold him, he woke up and was grumpy so I put him back in her arms. Nope, not a coincidence. He grinned and fell back to sleep. How sweet!

Kaycee's Baby Brother
Kaycee is so excited to FINALLY have her baby brother here. He was 20 days early weighin 7 lbs. 15.3 oz. I prayed I would not have an 8 lb baby, SO he was 0.7 ounces under.
We had a fun little party for Kaycee to welcome her baby brother into the world and celebrate her being a big sister. Instead of the dinner for two we got the party with ice cream cake and sparkling cider. We thought the party would be fun for Kaycee and ALSO to thank Uncle Nick and Grandma for all of their help. She loved showing off her baby brother, holding him and kissing him.
Grandma was holding Kayd and he started to cry and Kaycee said something to the effect of, "The baby crying, him no like you. Give him to Nick." I corrected her because it was mean, but it was funny. She didn't know any better. It was funny though that she came up with it. Too smart for her own good.
Kayd and mom (me) are doing well. We are just chillin in the hospital while Isaac, Grandma, Uncle Nick and Kaycee are out partying. (They went to dinner to "Wingeys" as Kaycee calls it, and shopping).
We have had wonderful visits from great friends. It has been so nice to see everyone and I have really enjoyed your visits. Thank you so much. We have also recieved sweet emails from everyone. Thank you!
