"I Urt My Arm...You Get It"

So my little drama queen pulled a new one. It was hilarious. She was walking over to the couch and tripped on her little blue chair. She doesn’t watch where she walks. Hello, it is this blue chair in the middle of the floor. It was pretty funny. I felt bad for her getting hurt but watching it was pretty funny. I didn't think she would walk right into it. Anyway, she fell into the couch hurting her arm. So, she says that she has to lay by mommy because her arm hurts. She says that she is sleepy and that is why she fell. So she needs to lay by mom on the couch. As we sat on the couch with me consoling her she turns to me and says that she is hungry. I pointed out that her half eaten dinner was still on the table and she needed to go finish it if she wa hungry. This is how the rest of the conversation went….

Mom: “Go eat the rest of your dinner.”
Kaycee: “You feed me. You go get it.”
Mom: “No, go eat your food at the table.”
Kaycee: “I can’t, you get it. My arm owey. I urt (hurt) it.”
Mom: “Silly girl, do you walk on your arms?”
Kaycee: “Yes. I fell down and urt (hurt) my arm. I can’t. You get it”
Mom: “You are silly. Go finish your dinner. Your feet still work.”
Kaycee: “You get it, see,…”

She gets on the ground with her bum in the air and walks on her feet and hands. “See I walk on my hands. I can’t get it. My arm urt (hurt). Mommy, you get it.”

Mom: “So your arm is feeling better? You’re walking on it।”

She starts to fake cry and jumps up in my lap. “No, it hurts. I fell down and it hurts, I can’t get it.”

It was hilarious! She is a sneaky little one.

I ended up getting her dinner and feeding her the rest of it. I don't mind. I just thought it was funny so I kept telling her to get it. I wanted to see what else she would say. Right now she is running around playing and her arm is just fine. It must have been the healing power of her corn.
