Kaycee in Kaycee

Wow. It was a LONG drive but we made it through rain, snow and ice. The weather got too bad so we stopped in Bozeman and stayed at C'mon Inn. Yeah, that is what we thought too. What a strange name but it was so nice and a great price. They had 8 hot tubs and a nice sized pool. Outside of each room was a nice little patio that led to a hot tub. Kaycee had a blast. We forgot our suits so thankfully there was a Target open next to the hotel. They had a small section of suits which were not on sale. Bummer. They also had an Outback next door and of course Isaac had to get a steak. Kaycee thought that it was the best day after a very long drive. Swimming and steak!

The next morning we woke up to icy roads and drove the rest of the way to Douglas, Wy and made a stop in Kaycee, WY. Kayc was so excited to be where Christ LeDoux is from and where she got her name from. We bought her a shirt and went on our way.

The kids and I are hanging out at the hotel while I do homework and Isaac is at the clinic. Kaycee, of course, got sick so we are waiting for it to warm up to go anywhere. It was 20 degrees this morning when we took Isaac over at 8AM.

Boys vs. Girls

What is it with girls and boys clothes? I think my sister-in-law has mentioned something about them before as well. I have to buy Kaycee's clothes in the big girls section. She is up to 7/8s in girls clothes but today she wore 24 months in boys.

We went to K-mart last weekend in Lewiston and they had a huge clearance on kids clothes. I bought two little outfits for Kayden for next summer that were 24 months. I thought, "if he is wearing 12 months now he will defiantly be in 24 months by summer." Anyway, she found them today and asked if they were for her. I laughed and said "no, they are for brother. They won't fit you." She put them up to her and it surprised me so I let her put them on to see. They fit pretty good. I need to just start buying her little boy clothes.

Mom. I need you!

I was up really late doing homework. Then my contact got stuck in my eye and I was up even longer trying to get it out. It got stuck behind my eye. Anyway, so the next morning (Friday) I was exhausted and the kids decided to wake up at 6:45AM. I had only been asleep for about 3 hours. I couldn't keep my eyes open so I made sure they were fed and happy and laid down next to them on the bed and fell asleep while they watched cartoons. Thankfully Kayden eventually took a nap too but once Kaycee is up, she is up and it is hard to get her to go back to sleep. I would wake up every 5 minutes or so to check on her. Finally I was out for about 20 minutes and I heard, "mommy, I need you." I kind of grumbled, "what do you need?" She didn't say anything and I was out again. This time I was out about five minutes and I hear her sniffing her nose really hard and then came, "mom, I need you. I can't smell." I figured she had a stuffy nose and woke up to help her. WELL, as I got up and looked at the bed I saw torn up tissue paper. I thought "okay, she tried to blow her nose and was shredding paper." NOPE. She stuffed it up her nose. I looked inside and saw a big wad of white. I took her to the bathroom, grabbed the tweezers and got situated for a long procedure of retracting tissue from her little nose. I had her blow her nose to try to get it down and it was bleeding but there was progress so I just had her keep blowing and a huge wad of tissue came out. She jumped for joy, "Mommy, I can smell. Oh thank you mommy. Your so nice for helping me to smell again. I wont do it again."

She said that she was trying to get out the boogers. Silly little girl. The funniest part was that I was reading Bekie's blog the other day and thinking "I am so glad that Kaycee hasn't tried anything like that because I wouldn't know what to do." Well, she did it. I need to remember not to think things because they always end up happening.

Mom. It was a good day.

Tonight as we were going to bed Kaycee said, "mom. It was a good day. We had a good day, huh."

We had a full day of activities for Kaycee today. We went to the library for story time and Kaycee had fun with Kember. Kim reminded us about dance class and we went to Wiggles with Lucy and Carly. We went shopping for fun pj's and then went home. I tried cleaning but Kayden was not happy. He is constipated, teething, or both and just wasn't happy so we went for a walk. She loves to ride her bike from Nana and Papa so I let her ride it. We were just going to walk around the parking lot but we ended up walking to the rec center. My back started hurting from carrying Kayden, who fell asleep, so we started back home. Isaac called when we were at the corner crossing the road and met up with us on the road to the house. Kaycee was so excited. She may have had all the excitement of the day but seeing daddy coming home made her day. Throughout the day she will say that her daddy misses her, or she misses her daddy and can't wait for him to get home. She doesn't say it like I can't wait, she means, she is impatient and can't wait. She is too funny.

She was so excited to wear her new jammies to bed to end her "fun" day.

She loves Wiggles Club. Kim told us about it awhile ago but everytime I drive by I think we should go and then forget. It was a good thing we saw Kim at the library. This was Kaycee's first class of many more. I was sitting at a wrong angle so the picts are dark but I at least got some pictures. I also got one of my little guy chilling waiting for sister. He has more fun watching how active and expressive she is.
