Our 2008 Profile

We have been in Pullman for 3 years now. Kaycee was only 2 months old when we moved from Utah. Now we have our new little guy, Kayden.

Isaac is beginning 4th year of Vet school and will graduate in May, 2009.

I am still taking class through the distance program at WSU. It is a lot of fun, hectic, but fun. I am excited to see the close end as well, May 09!

Kaycee is 3 and just a delight. This age is so much fun. She loves to help EVERYONE. Whenever someone is cleaning, cooking, etc. she has to be in the middle of it. But, she has always been that way. I remember when she was little I had to put her in the front pack to do anything. She always had to be helping. She loves her baby brother and is such a good big sister.

Kayden is such a calm little guy. He is starting to want to be held. He isn't as bad as Kayc but he has to see what is going on most of the time. He could sit for hours watching Sis and smiling and laughing at her. They are too cute together!

Isaac and I are so blessed to have such a wonderful little family.

Fun at the Zoo

Kaycee really wanted to see animals, tigers, bears, elephants (epalempts as she calls them) etc. so we took her to the zoo today. We left Pullman around 3PM or so yesterday and drove all night. Isaac got off from his night shift around 9AM and slept until 3, and I and the kids got everything ready and packed and we headed out as soon as he woke up. We got into UT and my brothers house about 5AM. We slept for a few hours and then went to the zoo. Katy and the kids went and picked Brandon up from work and met us at the zoo and mom and Amy and Sara came a little later after taking care of a few errands. It was a lot of fun. We just hung out most of the afternoon looking at animals and letting the kids play and run around. Kaycee had a lot of fun playing with her cousins and spending time with everyone.

I love this picture because if you look closely you can see Kaycee in the background like she is one of those kids how is always left out and stuck in the back or she is pouting, either way. Alexis is back there playing with her but I guess is behind the tree or ran off for a moment. It is hilarious though.

My Hair Looks Pretty?

It happened. I've had this talk with Kaycee a hundred times dreading the day that she would be curious about cutting her own hair. First of all, it is my stupidity that caused the curiosity. I decided the other night to try the whole bangs thing again. I haven't had bangs for over 10 years, well, maybe a little less. So, thinking that all was good, I left the scissors in my makeup bag sitting on the bathroom sink. Every time I went in there I had a thought to put them higher. Then, I would get distracted and realize after I was busy with something else that I didn't put them away but thought it was all good because Kaycee knows better. I fixed her hair in a ponytail this morning and got busy on the computer before going outside to play. She comes in asking if her hair looked pretty. I thought she had just tried combing it with it in a ponytail and said, yep, did you try to comb it? THEN, I walked into the bathroom and there it was, HAIR, scissors, spray bottle, and a comb. I stayed calm, afterall there was just a little and I couldn't tell that she cut it. As I pulled her ponytail out to fix it gobs of hair came off in my hands. She had cut the top and it was still in the ponytail. She has 80s bangs, high on top of the head and short. The best part of it all, I call her little act "the Alexis" because we have family pictures next week. Her cousin did the same thing to her parents, I think at the same age. BUT, she was smart enough to have a friend cut it and she hacked it good. Thank goodness we will see my mom on Monday and she can try to fix the mess that Kaycee created. Oh joy. I guess she is going back to short hair. I would like to add that I handled this little episode very calmly. I was very proud of myself!

I'll have to get a picture of her hack job and post it as well.

Just Chillin'

I thought this was a cute shot of Kaycee and Bella eating pudding on the steps. I guess boys aren't allowed! Austin is just eating his pudding and could care less.
